"Heaing Through Faith" - The Book of Daniel "Into the Fire!"

TONIGHT's Topic: "Into The Fire"

We are continuing our exploration of Daniel with the second-half of our theme, "A Test Of Loyalties - Whose Kingdom?", by jumping ahead to Daniel 3. We will look at Nebuchadnezzar's strange dreams in Daniel 2 and Daniel 4 the following two weeks.

We will notice some common-themes throughout this entire series; the faithfulness to God of Daniel and his friends, the self-centeredness and corruption of the kings they served, and God's faithfulness to His servants.

As we saw last week, Daniel and his friends had been faithful to God by not eating anything that might defile them, and God rewarded them with knowledge and wisdom far beyond their peers. Imagine having Airborne Wings and a Ranger tab pinned-on eight weeks after you entered Basic Training. Their star-ship-like rise in the kingdom set them up for their next challange: Which god will they obey? God, or Nebuchadnezzar?
