TONIGHT's Topic: "What Will YOUR Legacy Be?"

We will all leave behind a legacy, for better, or for worse, and it is up to us to create a legacy that is worth passing down. I was confronted recently by a Pastor about what my legacy will be, and sadly, my legacy isn't worth passing down. My life has been more "Cat's In The Cradle", than loving husband and father. I sacrificed my family on the altar of my work, and unfortunately, I can't turn back the calendar and try again. My family is raised, and their rejection of me speaks volumes about what they think of me and my legacy. Water under the bridge is long-gone, and can't be reclaimed.

I'm not the first man to leave a tainted legacy behind, and I doubt that I will be the last. Tainted legacies began with Adam, and have continued ever since. That doesn't mean that there haven't been some bright-spots, but they were the exceptions, rather than the norm. Abraham and David left mixed legacies, and we are beneficiaries of their legacies. God gave them promises that He was going to fulfill, in spite of their failings.
