TONIGHT's Topic: "Triggers or Training?"
Tune in TONIGHT for a great presentation with Sally Thomas.
Sally Thomas
Sally is a 30 year holistic practitioner, whose mainstay practice has included Classical Homeopathy, CranioSacral Therapy and Reiki III, for the treatment of the residual effects of trauma; for the general balance and awareness that gentle, non-invasive, self-correcting treatment can stimulate in all people and all animal life.
TONIGHT's discussion purpose is an attempt to make a distinction between military life stressors, during active duty and during transition into civilian life, which may be a result of general military training or of specific experiences during active duty service. The residual effects from trauma, be they physical, mental, emotional or spiritual can be resolved, but first, a clear understanding of what the problem's cause truly is, needs to be there. What went wrong?
I love the following quote because it says much about our need to be supported, come what may, when we sign up for a mission, especially the dangerous ones. This is true, it seems, in both military and in civilian life.
"The capacity of Soldiers for absorbing punishment and enduring privations is almost inexhaustible so long as they believe they are getting a square deal, that their commanders are looking out for them, and that their own accomplishments are understood and appreciated." - GEN Dwight Eisenhower
