VFV’s VITA Fund – Fourth Recipient
Name: Bucky
Date: November 15, 2017
I transitioned out of the military a few years ago and went to obtain an Associate’s degree. Finally found a job at a well-known company and through some unfortunate circumstances my contract expired. I was in the middle of building a new house with a child on the way. I put my resume almost everywhere I could find and could not land a job in my respective field. Frustrated with my efforts, no job and a baby on the way I was searching for something that could make me more marketable in today’s IT world.
I found this program through Recruit Military and I thought I would give it a shot. These guys decided to sponsor me and bring me on. They have worked with me on professional development and even my resume along with my initial training. The training has been great so far. All I can say is that Terry and his staff really do believe in assisting Veterans. Through their coaching, training and mentor-ship I am eager to see where I will be six months from now.
Thanks for the great opportunity guys!
VFV is in need of funding as we have a waiting list of about 10 and growing daily and our goal is to put 2,000 into this program each year! It takes $500 to fund one Veteran. There are many ways to give; credit card, check, donate a car, truck, RV, yacht, property, business… many options.
Donate from our web site: VictoryForVeterans.org. Find us on facebook at VFVets.
VFV strategically partners with ETAC in the provision of the IT Apprenticeship Program. VFV is the funding partner. ETAC the delivery partner. We are grateful for the dedication and commitment ETAC gives to veterans.
