Join our Volunteer, Air Force Veteran, Peer Support Specialist, and Writer/Author Steven Bates TONIGHT for "Mid-Week Musings!" edition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, sponsored and presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV).

We are asking everyone to share who we are and what support that Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) is providing via WFL. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

TONIGHT's Topic:  "Let's Grok Spock!"

"Today in 1931, Leonard Simon Nimoy was born in Boston, Massachusetts to

Ukrainian Jewish immigrants.  Known for his iconic role as "Spock" in the Star Trek phenomena of TV, comics, movies, books, and even cartoons, few actors have been as recognizable or as well-loved as the character he portrayed to his fans.

Few of those fans know however that Leonard Nimoy was also a veteran of the US Army Reserves.  Though he served only an 18 month hitch enlisting in 1953, he obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant, working in what was known as the Army Special Services.  Nimoy played several memorable roles in his career, from Star Trek to Mission Impossible.  He was an actor, director, author, pilot, poet, and yes, even a singer with 5 records published!

This veteran shared so much of himself with the world that he even had an asteroid named after him by NASA."

So join us tonight with the Warriors for Life Mid-Week Musings as we discuss the wisdom and life shared by Staff Sgt Leonard Simon Nimoy and learn what lessons he can teach us with Peer Support Specialist, writer/author, and Air Force Veteran Steven Bates.
