The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day and Week!
Let’s “Remember Everyone Deployed” today and every day until they return home safely once again!
Good “R.E.D. Friday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the end of another week from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 5 August 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Pay it Forward Day!” Why Not?
“How important is it as a leader to pay it forward? Great leaders that mentor and coach their team today pay it forward by how well that team performs in the future. They celebrate big and small wins with the team and say, ‘thank you!’ at every opportunity. By paying it forward in leadership you show a real concern for the team’s needs and how it carries over to the next generation of leaders. Leaders feel good about themselves because they are making a difference in people’s lives. When leaders pay it forward, they are passing on their knowledge, experience, and integrity. Are you ready to take responsibility for making a difference in the lives of others through your leadership by paying it forward?” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Paying it forward isn’t just for the Leaders or rich. Anyone can do something kind without expectations of a return, however, quite often the return we can receive are enormous and exhilarating. At present, my wife, Linda and I are housing a new neighbor, who are having trouble getting building permits and such. They have lost large amounts of money that they had paid for work, that was never completed. They have been living with us for approximately 4 months now. They are so appreciative and overwhelmed by our kindness, that they are doing anything and everything that they can to help us with our home.…
Good R.E.D. Friday Colonel!
If you can leave anything better than it was when you got there you've done a good job of paying it forward.
