The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day and Week!
Let’s “Remember Everyone Deployed” today and every day until they return home safely once again!
Good “R.E.D Friday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the end of the week and a new month from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 1 July 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Slack Day!” Why Not?
“As a leader you need to take a breather and cut yourself some slack as well as the team. As uncomfortable as it may feel this is a leadership strength. Personal issues can sap the energy of any leader and they need to know when to give themselves some slack to recharge their batteries. Stress can be the enemy and can cut into a leader’s effectiveness. Leaders need to be truthful with themselves, they need to be present, and willing to make some self-care changes. Under your current limitations and cut yourself some slack when needed!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Though we may find it difficult to take it easy, because the pressures of the day or job are on our shoulders, we should be encouraged to Enter Rest by Cutting Ourselves Some Slack. That slack/rest we give ourselves can rejuvenate ourselves and make accomplishing our goals easier if not much better. Please enjoy an article below, that talks to that very point. Have a blessed day today and always, as y’all cut yourself some slack.
