The answer is not simple. Some biblical texts seem to say no. Others, yes.
For example, Jesus warned us: "Woe to you when all men speak well of you" (Luke 6:26). And his own enemies saw in him an indifference to what others…
I've never been one to worry much about what others think. Does it factor in, of course! But at the end of the day I'm going to make decisions based on the conditions at hand, not what others may think.
