The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day and New Year!
Good “Saturday & New Year’s Day!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the weekend and the first Saturday of 2022 from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 1 January 2022!
Today’s Message is: “High Low Day!” Why Not?
“There will be highs and lows in leadership. How you manage them, as well as your own performance and others is up to you. Leading can be a roller coaster of highs and lows. In a second, you’re on top of the world crushing it. The next second, you’re feeling totally incompetent. In any given situation you must be ready to improvise to change the narrative. Learn from the lows and maximize the highs. Time to turn up the performance dial!" —COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I really like the last one, Robert. Many blessings to you this new year.
Good morning and a Happy New Year, Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Without highs, how would we know what lows felt. Without the lows we would not appreciate the highs. They both bring opportunities for growth. Today I would like to look at Exodus 17:1-18:27 about Water From the Rock, referencing highs and lows. I have specifically chosen to look at a Commentary regarding the mention scripture. I pray that y’all have a blessed and prosperous New year.

Commentary
Pray and act to turn the lows into highs
Moses had moments of great spiritual lows. The people ‘quarrelled with Moses’ (17:2); they ‘grumbled’ (v.3); they were ‘almost ready to stone [him]’…
Real life goes on somewhere between those highs and lows.
Happy New Years Colonel!
