Good Sunday evening Colonel! It seems I am late to the party today. Spent the afternoon in a tree.
We all need guidance to understand the ways of the world, and how to overcome them. Even the Ethianopian eunic required explanation of the scripture he was studying.
Despite what all the motivational speakers like to tell you, leaders are not born. They are a carefully molded and patiently derived product of experience and other leaders that allow them to grow.
Good morning, Col Burroughs and all my brothers and sisters here on VFV. I remember when I was the Branch Shop Chief in VS29, which had just transitioned from a prop driven anti-submarine warfare aircraft to a new Jet aircraft, designed for the same purpose, but was going to be integrated onto an attack carrier platform. The newest Officer assigned to our squadron was an Academy graduate and was assigned to the Weapons Division as Division Officer. When he learned that I was out working on the aircraft with my crew, he came down to chastise me, telling me that as the Branch Chief, I was to not do that and belonged only in the office.
