The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!

Good “Tuesday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Eagle’s Nest” in The Woodlands, TX — 7 December 2021!

Today’s Message is: “Personal Boundaries Day!” Why Not?

“Setting healthy boundaries as a leader allows your team to be actively engaged with you, while respecting each other’s personal boundaries. Being available to them when you are needed but giving yourself recovery time as well. Establish the basic guidelines on how youwant to be treated and those around you will have the same mutual respect and caring.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

TONIGHT's Topic: "Setting Personal Boundaries!"

"Let’s never forget and remember with a moment of silence today all the great warriors we lost on 7 December 1941! If we don't remember and we don't teach the good and bad about our history to our children and our children's children, then they will forget that freedom isn't free. It comes with the sacrifice and blood of many warriors throughout our history!" —COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

When I look around, I see all that is being neglected and left undone. Those that have the responsibility to fulfill these tasks, usually ignore them knowing that someone will pick up the slack. Of course someone will complain and it seems to be directed toward me. I loath kayos and disorder. I don't care who gets credit for doing the task, but I can't seem to be able to just turn around and walk away. I seem to be acutely aware when a dangerous or hazardous situation exists and my resistance to ignore this just is not in my nature. The military way was mission oriented so everyone pitches in to get the job completed. When something is no…

Good morning, Col Burroughs and all my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Setting personal boundaries is something God demands of us. God gave us Ten very important rules to set our personal boundaries. It is because the world has not followed them that the world is so full of evil and disarray. If we were to adhere to His boundaries, this world would be so much for the better.

Boundaries help us take responsibility for our own lives; they are closely related to self-control. In Titus 2:12, the bible admonishes us to control ourselves, which contradict our human desire to control others. Personal boundaries then help to limit or eradicate our selfish inclination to manipulate or control others. Have…
