The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
“Let us remember all those heroes that perished this day on 11 September 2001 and the many heroes that have given their lives in the aftermath through service to this country. Remembered and Never forgotten!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
Good “Sunday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 11 September 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Heroes Day!” Why Not?
“Leaders can be heroes and heroes can be leaders. Leaders motivate and inspire commitment from their followers and others to get things done and accomplish the mission. Heroes are individuals that have performed heroic acts above and beyond the call of duty, with personal risk to help others. True leaders always put others first and true heroes do something courageous for others without being asked. Heroes and heroic leaders that perform selfless acts of courage and focus on the needs of others do it without the expectation of anything in return! It wasn't their goal in life to become heroes!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. I should have had this response posted an hour ago, but for some reason, I am unable to paste my article, that I had selected for the day. I am trying this and hope that I can edit it in after posting. The article that I chose today talks about heroes in the Bible. My first thought and my most adored hero is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He voluntarily went to the cross, to pay the price of all of mankind’s sins. That is the ultimate of sacrificial love, which makes Jesus my Hero. Have a blessed day and always.

PS; I…
Today is the perfect time to remember all the heros from that horrible day. But I also have to remember a quote that has stuck with me forever: "Theres a fine line between a hero and a fool".
