The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
“Guess What Day It Is?”
Good “Wednesday & Hump Day!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the end of another month from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 31 August 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Anticipate Day!” Why Not?
“Why do leaders anticipate? Great leaders anticipate what is ‘Coming down the Pike’, so-to-speak, because changes are many times inevitable! Changes happen when they are least expected and leaders must be in a proactive position, not reactive! Leaders must be constantly aware and concerned with, any and all, changing environments, which might affect their focus! They must be ready to adjust their expectations about what might occur next! Having the ability to anticipate the future changes of an organization enhances and solidifies a leader’s influence! Leaders need to be alert, look for signs of change, trust their gut, and be ready to adapt within a moment’s notice! Can you anticipate and not overreact as a leader?” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good Wednesday afternoon Colonel. Jack, it appears we were thinking alike on my first one.
Running late today. I was up a tree in my hunting saddle shooting arrows at my deer target. Opening day for archery is the 10th.
Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. I have a great Anticipation of the return of Jesus. We are encouraged, in the Bible, to anticipate His return and to therefore be prepared for that Glorious event. I’m ready and anticipating His return. Are you? Have a blessed day today and always.

In our culture today, the word “anticipation” has been reduced to mean a feeling of “dreaded expectation.” But to this the late Meriwether Lewis said, “I have always held it a crime to "anticipate evils, and…
True leaders are always out in front of the organization. If you can't anticipate what is coming you are just reacting to what happened in the past and that is managing, not leading.
