Good “Saturday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the weekend from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 13 August 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Ride Day!” Why Not?
“Leadership can be the ride of your life, but it can also be a bumpy ride. It means living on the edge and riding out the storms, through the speed of change and progress. There will be ups and downs along the Leadership ride and leaders need to stop and take breath to avoid burnout along the way. It comes down to prioritizing, staying focused on the 25-meter target, sharing your vision and purpose with the team. Things can go south very quickly and leaders will be tested. How you handle adversity along the ride and assure your team that you’re in control will make the ride much smoother. Learn to enjoy the ride of your life as a balanced and confident leader!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. When folks talk about ride, generally, in modern slang speech, they are referring to a car, etc. The word ride can have many various meanings. Today I choose to look at this from a biblical standpoint. What people rode in times past, for travel, were horses or donkeys or other such animals. The Bible tells us that Jesus chose to ride on a donkey when entering Jerusalem. Jesus proclaimed to be a King coming in Peace. I will let the below link explain why and how He will return riding on a horse. I hope that y’all enjoy it. Have a blessed day today and…
Good Saturday afternoon Colonel! i Love to ride things with 2 wheels.
Is that little put-put you're retirement HOG, Col.?
Do you have a road trip coming up?
