The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Tuesday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 2 August 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Want Day!” Why Not?
“How do leaders want to lead? Leaders want to be able to connect, motivate, and inspire people to go beyond the call of duty. They do this by leading by example and showing others how they think, how they plan, and how they execute. They seek leadership because they want to make changes, improve the culture, and create a positive and purposeful environment for the team. Being a good leader is more than wanting to lead. It’s the ability to show respect and care for others, as well as for yourself. Good leaders want to encourage people to believe they have a better future through stability, hopefulness, and empowerment. How do you want to lead?” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I love the last one, for sure. Many blessings to y’all.

Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Today I found an interesting take on leadership from a biblical perspective. If y’all want to lead, in any endeavor or job title, be it military or civilian, then I believe that y’all would like to read the below article. Have a blessed day today and always as y’all obtain that new position of leadership.

I recently started a new job in a different company. My current role is the most senior position I have ever held. I am in charge of leading a team of legal professionals…
Good Tuesday afternoon Colonel.
Interesting topic today. The site you used to be on had a post about Army Reserve people not wanting to move into command positions because of all the time it took. Don't quite understand that line of thinking, why even be in if you don't want to advance?
