The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Sunday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 24 July 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Redeem Day!” Why Not?
“The very best leaders will make mistakes along the leadership journey.. The most important thing for a leader to redeem him or herself is to own up to the mistake as quickly as possible. A leader with character and integrity will never try to cover it up or blame someone else. True leadership is owning up to the mistake, being proactive, not defensive, and taking action to fix it. Leaders that lead from the front will implement a recovery strategy and put the mistake in the ‘Lessons learned’ filing cabinet. You can redeem yourself by forgiving yourself. You can’t let a bad mistake impair your ability to make a great decision in the future. It takes practice!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Gene, it often amazes me at some of the posts on RP that denigrate the Christian religion. I pray that eventually they will see the light. Cheers!
Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Redeem Day has sent me to searching how I could make this a biblical theme, yet not exclude our physical side of self. Redemption is a huge part of what the Bible is all about, after all, what we read about Jesus is about His ultimate fate, here on Earth and that is to redeem all of mankind. With that said, I would beg your indulgence to read the below link, to see where I am heading. Have a blessed day today and always as we celebrate the redemption of us all, thru Jesus Christ.

What is the meaning of “redeeming the time” in…
As I've said many times before, I've made every mistake in the book, so guess I'm sort of an expert on redemption.
Have a blessed day yourself Mikel!
