The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Sunday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the Independence weekend from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 3 July 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Come From Day!” Why Not?
“Where does great leadership come from? It comes from within. It’s about personal values, purpose, passion, contributions, and vision. Leadership comes from self-reflection, principles, and life experiences. Great leaders never forget where they have come from, how they started, or where they are headed. They are driven by inspiration, responsibility, and results. Leadership is the ability to inspire others. It is not given because of a title or position. It comes from within and it’s earned. Look deep within yourself and see where your leadership comes from!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I've never been impressed by those who hang their hat on where they come from. In the military it's usually leaders who are always knocking their Academy rings when decisions must be made; In the civilian world its usually the Ivy Leaguers. Nine times out of ten it's leaders with correspondence degrees from Podunk U that are the most effective.
