The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Monday & Juneteenth!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 20 June 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Shine Day!” Why Not?
“How does one shine as a leader? Two ways come to mind: Handling a crisis and helping others grow. Leaders can shine in a crisis by guiding people through troubled waters. They shine a light on the problem, they act decisively, ask questions, they measure and calculate risk; and bring all their people and resources to bear on the challenge until it’s resolved. Great leaders will shine a light on their people, acknowledge their contributions, grow their talents, and build up their leadership skills for the future. It’s your time to shine!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

https://youtu.be/vofUBWT8GlU Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. When I first saw the topic, I immediately thought of the song title, This Little Light of Mine. I have known for quite some time that what I say needs to tempered with my actions. We can’t say good things and then in action, do just the opposite. I found a link, that I have copied and pasted an excerpt from that describes how to be a light to the World today, that I hope y’all enjoy. Have a blessed day today and always, as y’all shine your light.

How Can We Be a Light to the World Today?
Now more than ever, we…
If children don’t learn early the reality of work, they will find reality difficult as they get older Jack. It is the same with all these people who took out ridiculously expensive loans to get degrees at prestigious schools and want either loan forgiveness or the government to pay off the loans. They need to understand that when they sign for a loan, it is there responsibility to pay it off.
Good Monday morning Colonel.
Exactly Jack. Per thought and quote for today.
Far too many seem content with not trying to get more knowledge about anything these days. It's hard to shine with a dim bulb like that.
