Today’s Message is: “Grit Day!” Why Not?

“Effective and efficient leaders have that special quality called ‘Grit’ that allows them to overcome some of the toughest obstacles, challenges, and hurdles they will face each day. A leader’s true grit is that internal drive that pushes them beyond troubles and produces sustainable performance with the people and the organization. It’s never too late for grit. Get some!”

Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. If y’all are Cowboy movie folks then certainly y’all remember John Wayne in True Grit.

But that it is not what I would like to talk about today. I would like to look at when and how grit develops in a person. I believe that parents can play a large role in the development of grit in their children. I have submitted an excerpt of an article, below, that talks about just that. Have a blessed day today and always.

Grit and courage are pretty much synonymous but I think grit may go down deeper into who one really is. When things get tough it's one's grit that really allows them to pass the test.
