The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Wednesday & Hump Day!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 4 May 2022!
“What is today?”
Today’s Message is: “Appreciation Day!” Why Not?
“Make it part of your leadership every day to say, ‘thank you!’ with real true sincerity, or let people on your team know that you appreciate them by saying, ‘You are important to me and this organization!’ This is one of the easiest things leaders can do. It creates a positive culture and strengthens the bond between leaders and team members. It will motivate and empower everyone in the organization. Stop for a minute today and say, ‘I value you or I appreciate you!’ It costs you nothing, yet it's so powerful!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I learned early in my career that showing appreciation to those who contributed to getting the job done went farther than any other reward. Be it asking a life support tech how to best clean my flight mask or helping the airman who was making repairs to our base housing unit, the look when they realized someone cared about them was unforgettable.

Good Wednesday morning Colonel.
