The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Sunday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 10 April 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Smile Day!” Why Not?
“As a leader there will be a time to smile and time not to. The question is are you smiling enough as a leader and is there room for improvement. Why Not? How important is smiling to leadership? It can help your team members relax in the face of adversity – they feel safe, and you can be trusted. Positive energy through a smile can attract people and they feel comfortable being around you. With a smile you can forge new connections. A smile can improve your mood and create a positive culture. Are you smiling yet?” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. I have found that when I smile, the rest of my body feels better. Smiling can be contagious making folks around you feel better. I spent many years of my life with people asking me why I didn’t smile. I really didn’t think that I was frowning, but there it was staring me in the face. It took much concentration for me to smile, but when I did, folks noticed. That seems to have coincided with my turning my life over to Jesus. Take from that what you will. Smiling makes me feel happy, so I choose not to feel bad. Have a blessed day today…
Seriously, who is attracted to someone with a frown?
Good Sunday morning Colonel.
