Good afternoon Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. Then reason for volunteering is as varied as there are people. In reality, when we volunteer, we are really working for the Lord. However there are those who do so for self image or to acquire some some favor. What is your reason? Well the military saying of never volunteer for anything might be a tad bit off mark! In my civilian career the aquarium where I worked actually had more volunteers than full time employees. We absolutely could not have operated without their participation so I've really grown to appreciate the concept of volunteering to a cause you believe in.
