The “Colonel’s” VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day!
Good “Tuesday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 22 February 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Nonverbal Communications Day!” Why Not?
“Leadership requires the very best verbal and nonverbal communications for the leader to be effective. Effective nonverbal communication can build trust and set the attitude and atmosphere of a normal day in the right or wrong direction. Eye contact and body language can send a message that you’re listening or don’t really care. Remember the old quote when you’re communicating, ‘Actions speak louder than words!’ Build credibility and strengthen your message with an effective nonverbal attitude and posture.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

All three are very true, brother Robert. Have a very blessed day, my friend.
Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. We often are so caught up in what we are doing that we do not realize how our actions, looks, or the way we project body language, can impact the people around us in either a positive or negative way. If we are joyful or happy and bubbly, that tends to rub off on folks and gives them positive feelings that will impact their mood or day. The opposite is also true. Just taking the time to reach out to someone or just be willing to pay attention to them, may have unwittingly helped a person to make a positive decision for themselves. I know that…
I think we probably start understanding nonverbal communications when we start dating, but we probably learned them long before that. I know my kids always used to say 'watch out, dad has that look'!
Good Tuesday morning Colonel.
