Good “Saturday!” Morning “Band of Brothers & Sisters,” and all great connections. Welcome to the weekend from the “Colonel’s Foxhole” in The Woodlands, TX — 5 February 2022!
Today’s Message is: “Mentor Day!” Why Not?
“Some of the best leaders are very strong mentors. They are found at every level within an organization, and they inspire new leaders with encouragement, respect, and willingness. As a leadership mentor you need to be available, present, listen, and believe in your role. Bring out the very best and unique talents in all the people you mentor. A mentor’s mission is to develop the next generation of leaders that will take the helm!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

Good morning Col Burroughs and all of my brothers and sisters here on VFV. We never get too old to require a mentor. Neither are we too young or old to be a mentor. God intended for us to be in relationships. What a better way to be in a relationship with others, than to be or require a mentor with one another. We don’t need to be experts in what we are mentoring for but should at least understand the basics. We can both learn together as we continue in the mentoring relationship. Have a blessed day in mentoring, today and always.

6 Essential Reasons Why You Need a Mentor by Chuck Lawless on Wednesday, January 01, 2014…
Great topic! Just this week I was talking with someone about the Junior Achievement program. I was in it when in high school and told them that the insurance company sponsors that worked with us were the best mentors I have ever encountered. Many of their lessons remain with me to this day and for sure guided my military career.

Good Saturday morning Colonel.
