It’s good to put on someone else’s shoes to really understand what is happening around you. It sharpens your perceptions and intuition for informed decision-making.” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

COL great one! Way back in the day when I was in college I was an English minor, however, just in case anyone sees how bad I write I inform them I was an English Lit minor. All that to say I am Thoreau fan, great writer, and when a backward ass hillbilly like me thinks he is a great writer, well he must be pretty damn good. Oh crap did not think of it but maybe that is a real bad thing for Mr Thoreau that I like him cause I also like to watch the cookie monster count all his cookies. very cool!!!

Jesus Christ and Empathy - Hebrews 2:16-18

16 For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants.17 For this reason he had to be made like them,[a] fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people.18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

While technology has made us a lot smarter, somewhere along the way we seem to have lost the concept of empathy.
