Paddle Boat Sail
Our paddle boat sail took place today.
It was 92 degrees in the sun rays.
There was a good turnout but nobody I knew.
But I still continued on my healing avenue.
I could choose a breakfast or lunch.
I'll tell you what, those Veterans were a hungry bunch.
By the time I got up to the buffet, there was a wait.
So, I stood there and filling my plate I did anticipate.
It was a beautiful day and boats were on the river.
And an enjoyable time I had, and it did deliver.
Playing cards and watching the scenery.
And I was in awe of the paddle wheels and its machinery.
But physically I cramped, and I shook pretty bad.
And my back hurt more than a just tad.
It took me several minutes to get into the car.
Even with a step stool it was still kind of hard.
But I'm proud of me for going.
And I am better off knowing.
That mentally and with some stress.
I was among some of the military's best.
Great poem. Saw kite surfers out when coming back from daughters house this weekend. Wish that sport was around when I was young.
This poem really resonates with me today, Kim. Thank you for sharing with us. Blessings my friend.
