TONIGHT's Topic: "Christ The Savior Is Born!"

As we close-in on Christmas, we come to the most important event in human history, the birth of Jesus, because without His birth, there would have been no crucifixion, and thus no redemption; and without His resurrection, there would be no hope beyond the grave. The birth of Jesus Christ was the hinge-pin of redemption-history, tying the Old Testament to the New Testament and the promises to their fulfillment, beginning all the way back in Genesis 3:15.

Bethlehem had turned from being a sleepy little town into a bustling metropolis almost overnight, thanks to a decree from the Roman emperor, so when two bone-weary travelers arrived in town, that there wasn't anywhere to stay was no surprise. The most powerful man in the world was a mere pawn in God's grand plan of redemption. Immanuel, God with us, was due to make His entrance into the world in the most unlikely way; born to a poor, peasant girl.
