As human beings we are innately curious about the future. Some people even go to extreme lengths to try and learn their own future. Yet, for us as believers in Jesus, part of the Holy Spirit’s purpose is to show us things to come.

You can get a sense for what is coming your way as you walk through life. That way you are positioned and prepared in ways that others might attribute to luck. The key is time in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. One of the many great ways to experience that intimacy is to pray in tongues as much as you can.

The Holy Spirit longs for you to be on mission with Him, joined to achieve a common God-task. As you do, He will tell you things which are to come.

But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own authority. But He will speak whatever He hears, and He will tell you things that are to come. — John 16:13 (MEV)
