Bitterness is a poison that corrodes your soul while it leaks out and hurts everyone around you, especially those you love the most. It drives all of your friends away. Unforgiveness pushes you towards decisions that will waste your life and create roadblocks which prevent you from walking in your destiny.

Stop wasting precious time thinking about revenge and getting even with those you perceive have wronged you. Forgive them. Release them from being punished for what they've done to you.

They'll reap the harvest of whatever bad seeds they've sown, without your need to pile on the condemnation. By releasing them from punishment through forgiveness you keep yourself free from bitterness and protect all the other relationships around you.

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; — Hebrews 12:14-15 (NKJV)
