Worry is based in fear. It is nothing more than meditating about possible negative outcomes and all the bad things that might happen. But here's the thing. Hardly any of those bad things we worry about ever actually happen. Besides, the truth is that before a thing happens, there is just as much of possibility of a positive outcome as a negative one. So why not engage your faith instead of worrying? Faith is the opposite of fear. You will do so much better to choose the path of faith. Instead of worrying about the bad stuff that might happen, try meditating about a promise that God made in His Word. Find one that relates to your situation. Think on it. Ponder it. Consider other Bible verses related to it. Not only will that get you operating in faith instead of fear, but that's exactly how you begin to truly start seeking the Kingdom of God and His righteousness! |
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. — Matthew 6:33-34 (HCSB) |
