Do you know who you are? Not the person you've been told all your life by the world you are, but do you know who your Creator, the One who made everything in the universe including yourself, made you to be?
It’s vital we come to understand who God thinks we are now that we believe in Jesus. The world wants to assign its understanding of your identity on us. No matter how good it might seem in the moment, the world’s label for who we are will always come with some sort of negative baggage attached.
Besides, at the end of the day, God's opinion is the one that matters more than all others combined. The Holy Spirit says you are one of God's very own children. You're family. God is your father and Jesus is your brother.
Think about all this true identity means for you today.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; and if children, then heirs: heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.
