All that's good in this world originates and radiates from God. He's the source of all truth, glory, love, peace, joy, mercy, faith, kindness, gentleness — basically everything and anything that's good comes from God.
People often get this twisted up, especially if they believe God is in control of everything that happens here on earth. They believe God is somehow responsible for all the bad things which happen in their lives. But that’s a lie, plain and simple.
In truth, God is the ultimate positive charge. There is nothing negative about him. He's pure light. There's not a trace of darkness in Him.
Therefore, the closer you draw to God, the more of His light you yourself will radiate in turn.
This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
