People rightly point to what Jesus did on our behalf at the cross and through His resurrection as the ultimate proof that God loves us. And because of the work Jesus accomplished, you are now adopted into the very family of God as His very own son or daughter.
Your family lineage has changed. You have a new Father in heaven. Think about that. It doesn’t matter if your own earthly father had shortcomings. In Christ, your Father is now perfect in every way.
Not only are you now God’s very own child, but the Bible tells us you are also a joint heir with Jesus. Now that you are in Christ you are legally entitled to share in the inheritance of Jesus.
This new position you have in Christ makes you living proof of a loving God!
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. — 1 John 3:1 (NKJV)
