So many believers misunderstand contentment to be learning to settle for less. But that’s not it at all. Instead, true contentment comes from abiding in Jesus. When we get in Christ so thoroughly that we see our identity just as God sees us, the cares of this world fade away as contentment overtakes us, regardless of our circumstances.
Desire for increase is not a bad thing. Healthy things grow and God intends for us to be fruitful and multiply. Actively abiding in Christ produces increased fruitfulness and growth in our lives as we see more and more of our prayers answered by the Father.
And it all starts by sincerely seeking the Kingdom of God because that's where this contentment is found. Even better, the Kingdom of God is where we will experience Godly increase too.
Seek the Kingdom of God. There you will find you become more productive with less effort and less stress than you ever thought possible.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. — Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)
