The things we focus our attention on expand in our minds. That means we have a choice. We can focus on the things of God, or the things of this dark world around us.
Choosing to focus on the things of God fills us with hope, joy, peace, and love for the people around us. Over time we become known for bearing that godly fruit in our lives. The more fruit of the fruit of the Spirit which our lives produce, the more attractive our lives become to others. That gives us better opportunities to tell others about Jesus.
Unfortunately far too many believers instead spend all their time focusing on worldly things which fill their souls with darkness, despair, and hopelessness. As a result they become very much like the world, with little in their lives which would draw others to Jesus.
Choose wisely today where to focus your time and energy. | ||
