I hope you can join us this Saturday for “Warriors for Life” (WFL) Virtual Group Support Community Services.
Saturday night’s Topic: “Importance of Balance in Your Life?”
Most ancient cultures pointed to a connection between body, mind, and spirit and recognized that each composed a part of the whole. Now, integrative medicine and health psychology are beginning to recognize that health is influenced not only by the physical body but the spiritual, mental, and emotional bodies, too. Your health is dependent on all four facets, as opposed to just one of the four. Building onto this concept, your overall health is also influenced by a trickle-down effect: The physical body is affected by our emotions, our thoughts direct how we feel, and our energy level sways our mind and our thoughts. We’re going to explore some specific details of each body and the practices you can follow to maintain their health.
There are a number of ways that you can better achieve balance in your life, and it just takes a little bit of self-reflection and extra effort to find the right amount of time for everything. You feel your healthiest and happiest when all of your needs are being met, and in order to do that, you have to make sure nothing falls by the wayside.
Balance and self-care are vital to one’s mental and physical being so that we have the fuel to take on whatever lies ahead. By looking at our life holistically, we can notice that everything is interconnected. When the balance of healthy diet and exercise is off, it can tip the scales on mood and relationships.
