Jana Laird Phillips is an accomplished marketing executive with decades of experience spanning the energy industry, civic organizations, and nonprofit leadership. Her career highlights include executive roles at TXU, where she championed innovative marketing strategies and led successful collaborations with industry partners, and the Edison Electric Institute, where she worked with utility sector executives across the U.S. to advance the adoption of all-electric solutions. At the New York Mercantile Exchange's Houston office, she forged connections with key players in electricity trading while actively participating in influential industry organizations.


As an author and thought leader, Phillips has made significant contributions to industry discourse through her international bestseller "Power Lies" and two screenplays, demonstrating her ability to communicate complex industry issues to broad audiences. Her expertise has been recognized with top awards from the Dallas Chamber of Commerce and various industry associations, establishing her as a respected voice in energy innovation and its societal impact.


Phillips has maintained an extensive commitment to community service, including notable leadership roles with the Rotary Club of Downtown Houston, where she co-chaired high-profile fundraisers, and multiple chapters of the Junior League. As United Way Campaign chairman for TXU, she led initiatives impacting over 15,000 employees. Her civic engagement extends to arts and education, with leadership positions in organizations such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra Young Professionals Group, alongside dedicated legislative advocacy for the Children's Assessment Center.
